What our sensors tell us about

"Running" / Use of Trolley

When moving a ULD, it can be tempting to pull the trolley rather than push.

However by pushing you can avoid back twisting which allows you to spread the load evenly through both arms.

It also allows for a smoother motion; cutting out jerky movements.

EMP Sensor Observations

Sensor observations are a highly accurate and objective way of measuring risk during manual handling tasks.  By using the correct movement you will help reduce stress and strain on your back, shoulders and neck.

Task Risk Scale

With sensor observations, we measure relative task risk.
